The Deputy Director Bermuda Weather Service will be responsible for the provision of meteorological and NOTAM/Flight Plan administration products and services in support of aviation and airport requirements at the L.F. Wade International Airport, and the Bermuda national weather service; to continue the development of the Bermuda Weather Service as a National Meteorological and Hydrological Service (NMHS).
A recognized Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant discipline such as meteorology with a minimum of three (3) years of recent operational meteorology. Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening). Comfort and professionalism in dealing with clients at all levels. Ability to make rapid and effective decisions in reaction to changing weather patterns. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and technology. Familiarity with WMO, ICAO and ASSI regulatory material. A growth mindset.
