The Berkeley Institute, a diverse senior school with a rich heritage and tradition of excellence, requires a Director of Facilities within our Facilities Management Department. The Director oversees the Facilities Management Department, ensuring that the Institute's facilities are well-maintained and clean for employees, students, and the public. Responsibilities include managing planned and preventative maintenance, arranging procurement of services, overseeing security and safety operations, managing major upgrades, and performing departmental administrative duties.

Requirements

A Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline such as a City and Guilds designation; at least five (5) years of demonstrated supervisory or management experience in engineering, construction management, facilities management, or a related field; proficiency in a computerized environment; knowledge of current building codes, safety standards, HVAC systems, backup power, and waste management systems.
