Endeavour is a Bermuda-registered charity and nonprofit that builds self-confidence and life skills by engaging youth from diverse backgrounds across Bermuda in hands-on experiential learning through sailing. Endeavour invites applications for the full-time position of Chief Instructor. This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Dinghy and Powerboat Instructor who is enthusiastic about experiential education and working with diverse youth to join a high-performing, dynamic and passionate team. The Chief Instructor is responsible for leading the delivery of Endeavour’s experiential learning programmes, ensuring high quality and adherence to all safety standards. This role will be leading the daily operations for one of Endeavour’s Forts which is a Royal Yachting Association Recognised Training Centre. The Chief Instructor reports to the Operations Manager, and oversees boat and resource allocation for programme activities, safety decisions, organising daily setup and clean up, and provides support across all programmes. Compensation commensurate with experience with a comprehensive benefits package. Requirements

Minimum of 2 years experience as a Chief Instructor successfully delivering youth sports/recreation-based educational programmes, experiential education would be an asset. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and foster positive relationships with diverse stakeholders. Demonstrable experience communicating effectively with youth, parents, and teachers, and providing feedback on participant progression. Self-motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative and diverse team environment. Demonstrable experience and knowledge of maintenance for marine assets including power and sail boats. Exhibits the highest level of awareness for safety regarding weather, powerboats, and classroom organisation. Proficient in MS Office Suite, internet navigation, and social media platforms. Availability to work on evenings and weekends as necessary. RYA Qualifications: RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor, RYA Powerboat Instructor, RYA First Aid Certificate, RYA Safe & Fun Safeguarding Certificate, RYA VHF SRC Radio Operator Licence. SCARS trained.
