BAS Facilities Management is hiring a BAS Facilities Management is seeking a Facilities Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Facilities Engineer will operate, maintain service, install, troubleshoot, repair and inspect a full range of heating, ventilations, air conditioning, refrigeration, mechanical, plumbing and related commercial building systems and components.Technical or Vocational School Certifications or equivalent in at least one of the following disciplines - HVAC, Plumbing or Electrical. At least 5 years of commercial and residential building maintenance experience is required. General Knowledge of energy management systems is preferred. Completion of specialized building maintenance related training is highly desirable. Project Management knowledge would be beneficial. Demonstrated ability to problem solve and offer solutions based on recommendations. Strong report writing skills and ability to provide general correspondence. Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook). Superior verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers and clients. Exceptional prioritization and organizational skills. Ability to interact and understand facilities management terminologies when liaising with external contractors, service vendors and engineers. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. Must be able to meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. Must be willing to train and direct less senior members of staff or trade apprentices. Ability and willingness to work extended hours as needed.
