Assistant Retail Store Manager

The successful candidate will support the Store Manager with the day to day operation of the retail facility, and will assume full responsibility in the absence of the Manager. The successful candidate will assist in directing and providing leadership to the staff, maintaining proper stock levels, ordering and receiving stock, participate in stock-taking, reconciling daily cash, compile bank deposits, conduct end of day routines and oversee store security arrangements.

Requirements

A minimum of two years supervisory experience in a retail or hospitality environment which involved staff management. Experience within the wines and spirits industry would be a strong advantage. Must possess a sound knowledge of wines and spirits, with the extent of this knowledge being a determining factor in selecting a candidate. Must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, be well groomed and energetic. High level of computer literacy with the ability to master a unique custom built POS system.
