Anatomic Pathologist

BHB ensures the highest in quality health care through service excellence, education and leadership. We seek qualified, highly motivated, and experienced professionals to work in a supportive but demanding environment. Key responsibilities include: Reporting Surgical Pathology, Cytopathology specimens and autopsies in both hospital and coroners cases; Performing gross and microscopic examinations of pathological specimens; Providing day to day advice and direction for Anatomic Pathology Staff; Delivering a comprehensive Anatomical Pathology service and Autopsy service to BHB in accordance with BHB standard policies and operating procedures; Assisting with the writing and maintenance of departmental policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with Joint Commission International Accreditation requirements; Assisting with quality improvement practices, and outcome measurements through regular audits and reviews.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years postgraduate experience; Professional qualification and Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology or Histopathology or equivalent; Current registration with Medical Council in relevant jurisdiction; Must be eligible to register with the Bermuda Medical Council and eligible for hospital privileges.
