Relm Insurance, Ltd. is hiring a We are looking to grow our Financial/Professional Lines underwriting team with a goal-driven, innovative, and creative leader ready to chart the uncharted. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Underwrite, price, and negotiate Financial/Professional Lines accounts in line with the company’s strategy and risk appetite to ensure profitability, retention, and written premium goals are achieved. Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the analysis and evaluation of risk to achieve optimal outcomes. Develop and grow relationships with brokers and policyholders to identify and establish new distribution relationships. Participate in underwriting roundtable discussions. Effectively market and articulate the company’s value proposition and product offerings to brokers, policyholders, and other key stakeholders. Collaborate with colleagues to complete projects and drive cross-selling opportunities. Maintain compliance with all internal and external underwriting guidelines and legal requirements. Other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned.Minimum of 1 year of Financial/Professional Lines underwriting or broking insurance experience (D&O, E&O, IMI, or Crime insurance experience would be an asset). A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, insurance, law, actuarial science, computer science, or a related discipline. Strong skills in financial statement due diligence and review. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. A creative problem solver with strong critical thinking skills and an ability to look at problems from new and different angles. Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team-centric environment. A comfortable communicator who can clearly and authentically convey a written and verbal message. Advanced skills across all Microsoft Office applications. Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort with leading client and broker meetings. Exceptional attention to detail and work ethic. Ability to work outside of core hours and travel overseas, as required.
